AfroReggae
has acquired a wealth of strategies and excellence in working with
young people at risk of involvement in the organised crime networks
that support the drug trade in Brazil. Our aim is to ensure that
the visit of AfroReggae to the UK will be a real opportunity to
learn with them about what works. We seek to share the expertise
and experience that AfroReggae has gained over the last 12 years
with young people at risk in the UK and those who work with them.
Since 2003, People's Palace Productions has been working with AfroReggae, to create theatre, music and training projects that offer opportunities for mediation and alternatives to violence for the young people in communities that are dominated by the drug gangs in Rio de Janeiro.
